Donna first noticed a red hand-painted door in a tree on a morning run in the neighborhood, and in the coming weeks she noticed more along the trail. She refers to them as fairy doors, and they're a family favorite "I spy" affair for an afternoon walk. A three-year-old with a vivid imagination made a photo shoot themed around visiting the fairy doors a perfect activity for creating a memory and taking some photographs. We'd done a few photos a couple of weeks prior on a rainy day. I'm so glad we arranged to these photos on an unseasonably warm late winter afternoon. It was laid-back and lovely, with warm light and lots of laughter as I got to hang out with one of my favorite families to document three years of Nadine's amazing life. I love the end result.
