Such a joy to be able to work in Raleigh, NC, where my tiny niece lives. I love updating her photos, and this time around, her big brother Brandon and little buddy Eli got in on some of the fun too. I wish I had words for this little girl, but I'll stick to images today lest I get crazy emotional on you.

This session? So much love and goodness and beauty. I always love photographing families, but these images overwhelm me. Is there anything better than witnessing what is good and right and true in the world? These guys give me a picture of that.
Blythe belongs to great friends, so I loved getting to celebrate her first birthday. We did these photographs the day before her birthday, and it was a gorgeous, perfect day for photos. The girls played and picked flowers and laughed, and the color of spring so complimented the celebratory atmosphere of the session. It was a wonderful way to celebrate a precious baby girl.
I did Porter's newborn session on a day when his big brother was sick. On Mother's Day, we got together again to update the family photos to include everyone, and I love that fifteen minutes at the park resulted in so many images that I love. I wasn't planning to blog these but as I finished them up this afternoon, I couldn't help myself. Such a sweet little session of such a sweet family...
I wanted to photograph these triplets since a friend started nannying for them after I joined her for a play date. They are as unique as can be but somehow fit right together, just so. Toddler multiples require a lot of patience, and their mom and dad (and aunt) showed up ready to go. I cannot help but smile going through these images. I just love them. I love how photography has provided me the opportunity to reconnect with old friends. This sweet mama-to-be went to high school with me, and a coming baby gave us a reason to get together. I loved meeting her family and hanging out at the park while we discussed baby names and hopes. I cannot wait to see who their little boy turns out to be. Expect newborn photos in August and in the meantime, enjoy this fun preview from his maternity session!
It was so fun to do B's first birthday photos on his actual birthday. He took a few minutes to warm up to me, but once he did, he was all smiles and sharing. He's a speedy crawler, and by the end of his session he showed off his brand new walking skills too. I love that his grandma and grandpa participated in the session. Doesn't he have the sweetest face?

These four showed up to our session eager to explore and play, and it was quickly evident that they belong together. I couldn't help but smile watching the children interact. They laughed a lot and love well. I'm excited to share this sneak peek. Sessions like this are about as good as it gets.
I've been celebrating the lives of these little guys with my camera for the last couple of years. They recently moved into a new home, and we got to update their photos in their new space. This is a family that delights to be together, and I love the way that shines through in these images. The boys are all boy, and their parents and grandparents revel in being with them. It's the good stuff of life.
On Sunday, April 14, Luke made his way earthside. The miracle of new life humbled and awed everyone involved. His mama amazed me, and his dad and big brothers were so proud. It is such an honor to witness a birth, and these photographs illustrate everything about why I love doing what I do. When I started photographing this family, three littles were running around. Those littles aren't so little any more, and Baby Claire has grown into three years of busyness and opinions and goodness. We did a photo update on account of her growing-up-so-fast status, and I love the end result. These guys make me smile. So much love to behold.
Time flies and newborns turn into babies who need their portraits updated. Spring-time in DFW is the best time of year for photo sessions, but somehow the morning of this session was blustery and cold. It didn't matter to this sweet little man and his big sister. They smiled and beamed, and I loved updating their photos.
This mama is always willing to hold out for the best light for photographs, and I love that she waited until just before bed time for a little park play-date. Photographing a one-year-old and a three-year-old presents an opportunity to stay on my toes, so we played and ran and baby-wrangled. The end result is a set of real-life photos that show a lot of love and a lot of life. I love these images.
I've known little Cooper since day one. I got to photograph his birth and his newborn session, and we did a quick update of his photos on Saturday. This wide-eyed guy wins you over with his easy smiles and seemingly endless wonder at the world around him. I loved getting to update his photos, and I'm already looking forward to his six-month session! His mom and dad are doing a great job, and I'm honored to call them friends thanks to this wonderful world of photography.
This little lady, along with her 4-year-old and 2-year-old big brothers, kept me on my toes the entire afternoon. Celebrating Landry's first birthday was the cause for the session. She's not quite ready to walk, but she is already a mover and a shaker. I always love seeing this crew, as watching littles grow up is one of my favorite parts of this job. Baby Porter was six-days-old when we met, and he is such a sweetheart. All he wanted to do was snuggle with his mama, but once he fell asleep, he was up for anything. I can't wait to go back and do some photos with his big brother in a couple of weeks. The cuteness is overwhelming.
A sweet Saturday afternoon with a fantastic family who just welcomed their youngest daughter home last month! Theirs is a story with beauty and life written all over it, and I loved capturing the warmth and love they share. It's truly inspiring to see the goodness of how this family is woven together. Baby T is one blessed girl, and her mom and dad and brother and sister revel in being with her.
Family sessions at the park are perfect, even in late February in Dallas if you wait for the right day. We had to wait for just the right day for this crew. Holidays then sickness then weather then anything that could possibly go wrong seemed to do so. And then Sunday the sun shone, and two happy boys with two lovely parents joined me at the park. And we ran and played and talked Angry Birds. I love the moments I was able to capture for this crew and cannot wait to finish working on their images.
This was my third session with sweet baby Nadine, and my how she has grown! She is a firecracker, full of laughter and squeals and so much excitement for life in general. She wanted to go, go, go, and while she's not quite walking yet, she kept me moving. I love watching little ones grow through their first year, and it's been so fun watching Nadine become her own little self. Can't wait to see what year two holds!
